Refund Policy

1. General Overview

This Refund Policy explains when and how Tanvir Car Rental (“we”, “our”) will issue refunds. It governs prepaid amounts like advance booking deposits and prepaid rental charges. Security deposits are handled separately after vehicle return.

2. Cancellation by Customer

Refund eligibility depends strictly on the timing of your cancellation notice relative to the scheduled pick-up time.

2.1 Standard Bookings:

  • Free Cancellation Period: Cancellation within the window specified in your confirmation (e.g. 24 hours prior). You receive a full refund.
  • Late Cancellation: Cancellation after the free window but before vehicle dispatch. A partial refund will be issued after deducting a cancellation or administrative fee.
  • After Vehicle Dispatch: If the car has left for the pickup location, no refund may be provided, or minimum charges will be deducted.

2.2 Peak Season & Special Bookings: Stricter cancellation rules apply during peak periods (e.g., holidays, long weekends). The specific policy in your booking confirmation takes precedence.

3. No-Show & Partial Use of Service

3.1 No-Show Policy

Failure to arrive at the scheduled time/location without prior contact is considered a No-Show. The advance payment or prepaid amount will be forfeited with no refund.

3.2 Partial Use

If you end the rental earlier than planned, unused hours, kilometers, or fixed package components are generally non-refundable. The minimum package charge will still apply.

4. Company-Initiated Cancellations

If Tanvir Car Rental cancels your booking (e.g., due to vehicle breakdown or safety concerns), you will be offered a full refund of the prepaid amount or a suitable alternative vehicle/date.

5. Non-Refundable Charges

The following charges are typically excluded from any refund amount:

  • Government taxes and non-reversible processing fees.
  • Tolls, parking fees, and entry fees already paid for the trip.
  • Penalties for damage, fines, or excessive cleaning.

6. Refund Processing & Timeframe

  • Method: Refunds are generally issued via the same payment method used for the booking (Bank Transfer, Mobile Wallet, etc.).
  • Initiation: Once approved, we aim to initiate the refund within 3–7 business days.
  • Completion: The actual time for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your banking institution (typically 5–15 days).
